Addlestone man charged with robbery
A 33-year-old man has been charged with robbery following an incident in a supermarket in Addlestone earlier this month.
The incident took place between 1.30pm and 2pm on Monday 2 February when the 61 year old victim, was robbed in Iceland in Station Road, Addlestone.
Malcolm Edwards, 33, of Station Road, was arrested several days after and charged.
He stole the victim's brown purse which contained a number of items including £20 in cash.
Edwards has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Kingston Crown Court in the coming weeks, although a date has yet to be confirmed.

Hi would it be possible for a follow up on this, I am an older person and still do not feel safe not knowing whether this man was sent to prison or not.

Following your query yesterday I can confirm Malcolm Edwards, 34, of Addlestone was charged with robbery following an incident at the Iceland store in Station Road, Addlestone on Monday 2 February 2009 where a purse was stolen from a 61-year-old Addlestone woman.
He was sentenced to ten months in prison at Guildford Crown Court in April this year for the robbery and a separate theft and burglary other offences.
