ADDLESTONE Community Theatre Group will be performing Babes in the Wood this weekend and next weekend at the Addlestone Community Theatre.

The group of 15 children, aged between ten and 16, and ten adults have been working hard since September rehearsing the play about Robin Hood told through the eyes of two small children.

Chertsey Camera Club is holding a talk by member Don Halliday on Thursday October 15.

The illustrated presentation about Antarctica will be at Addlestone Community Centre in Garfield Road, Addlestone, from 8pm.

A Michael Jackson tribute party held in Addlestone on Friday was a huge success raising £1,300 for the British Heart Foundation (BHF).

About 200 fans of the superstar donned wigs and outfits for the fancy dress party at Abbey Moor Golf, in Green Lane. There were many different Jacko's and even one of the star's pet monkey, Bubbles.

There will be a Dad's breakfast at St Paul's Church Hall on Saturday (August 1) from 9.30 until 11am.

The social event for Dad's and their kids will involve games and music for the youngsters, while the adults enjoy breakfast and conversation.

A PROFESSIONAL golfer is giving out free lessons in the Spring to celebrate being awarded a prestigious title.

Andy Little, 26, of Emley Road, Addlestone, was recognised as one of the top 50 best worldwide children's golf coaches by U.S Kids golf in January.

If you have ever wondered what being pushed down a road in a bin is like, then head down to Addlestone in April.

Because on Saturday 18, twenty men, women, and children, will actually be running through the street's of the town with industrial sized bins, pushing each other in teams of six to raise money for Guildford based children's hospice Chase.

A VEGETABLE growing weekend is taking place at an Addlestone Garden Centre in March.

Wyevale Garden Centre, in New Haw Road will be hosting the event on Saturday March 7 and Sunday March 8 for anyone interested in growing vegetables.

Staff at the centre are also asking children, their parents, and teachers to enter a competition for the use of one of their vegetable patches.

Even grandparents can enter, by nominating a school and writing a 200 word essay on why they should get it.
